Homepage view counter

The regular homepage has an anonymous view counter when the service is available. It counts page loads, including reloads and some bots. It is not a count of unique people. The counter stores an expiring request ID to avoid counting a retried request twice. It does not store a visitor identifier in your browser.

Former analytics

Matomo collection was disabled on October 27, 2026. The site no longer records visit histories, time on pages, returning browsers or download events through Matomo. When you visit a page, a cleanup script removes the former analytics preference and first-party tracking cookies.

Previously collected analytics remains subject to the existing retention settings, 90 days for raw visits and 13 months for aggregate reports.

Server logs and browser settings

The web server keeps operational and security logs. These can include requested addresses, timestamps, IP addresses, referring pages and browser information. Logs rotate daily and retain up to 14 rotated files.

Your browser stores the site's theme choice and any settings you choose in the lab pages.
